Dear Newton Community School District Families,
As we find our rhythm in this new school year, with students diving into their studies and extracurricular activities, I want to pause and highlight an element that truly amplifies the richness of our educational experience: parental and community involvement.
In just these first few weeks of the new school year, it’s been great to see students engaged in the classroom and on the playing fields. It’s easy to overlook the importance of how our volunteers come together to help build upon the rhythm of what makes our schools function. And in this installment of the Red Pride Review, we’re highlighting some of the organizations that play a significant role in our district: our wonderful Parent Teacher Organizations and Booster Clubs.
Newton Community School District PTA/PTOs Our Parent-Teacher Associations and Organizations foster a collaborative relationship with our educators, but also provide a platform for parents to share thoughts, suggestions, and to actively participate in their child’s school. By joining these groups, you have a golden opportunity to work together with the school staff to create enriching programs and events for our students.
Newton Community School District Music and Athletic Booster Clubs The music and athletic booster clubs ensure our extracurricular programs are well-supported, enabling students to participate in their areas of interest. Your support, be it through volunteering time or contributing resources, can have a remarkable impact on the quality and variety of opportunities available to our students.
Booster Clubs and PTA / PTOs are just a few of the ways you can volunteer and connect with the district. Your involvement goes a long way in making Newton Community School District a supportive and engaged community. I invite you to reach out to your school's office or visit our website for information on upcoming meetings and events. Your engagement, in any capacity, is welcomed and appreciated!
