Cardinals,
As we continue to maneuver through the challenges the COVID pandemic has presented us with, we have a lot to be thankful for. We have witnessed a successful return to school. Our students have had many accomplishments in activities this fall. Our students have benefited from the experiences provided by some very generous volunteers in our schools. And most importantly, we have been able to establish a school routine once again.
There are several opportunities in the coming weeks to support our students as they showcase their talents and perform for us. We have concerts, a play, athletic events, and much more learning in the coming weeks. A few of the special highlights you don’t want to miss are:
• December 6 – 5th-8th Grade Choir Concerts – (Berg Middle School) – 5:30 PM
• December 7 – K – 1st Grade Concerts (TJ/WW) – (Newton High School) – 6:00 PM
• December 13 – NHS Winter Vocal Concert – (Newton High School) – 7:00 PM
• December 14 – 5th-8th Grade Band Concerts – (Berg Middle School) – 5:30 PM

Don’t miss out. Get out and enjoy the work of our students and staff. Make sure you let the Cardinal staff and students know we appreciate what they do. Check out our Activities & Athletics page and take the time to see what being a Cardinal is all about.
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy time with family and friends. And thank you for helping our entire Cardinal Community move forward throughout the challenging times.
Yours Truly,
Tom Messinger, Superintendent
