Dear Newton Community School District Families,
As we approach the Thanksgiving break, I want to express my gratitude for our school community's dedication and spirit. This time of year reminds us to appreciate our collective achievements and the individual efforts that make our district shine.
A Season to be Thankful
Each student, teacher, staff member, parent, and family member has contributed to our vibrant and dynamic district, creating an environment where learning thrives and individual talents are nurtured. We're incredibly thankful for the dedication, resilience, and spirit of collaboration that each one of you brings to our school community.
Winter Activities: A Celebration of Talent
This winter season brings an array of activities that showcase the diverse talents in our district - from the drama club to the music department to our athletic teams – students are gearing up to demonstrate their skills and sportsmanship. These programs not only highlight our students' abilities but also strengthen the bonds within our school community.
Looking Forward
For our juniors and seniors, it's a pivotal time to begin planning for life after high school. Whether it's exploring college options, considering vocational paths, or contemplating entering the workforce, we encourage our students to think about their future with optimism and determination. Our guidance counselors and teachers are here to support and guide them through these important decisions.
A Moment to Reflect
As we head into this Thanksgiving break, I encourage each of you to take a moment to reflect on the positives of the past months, acknowledge the hard work put in, and express gratitude for the support and opportunities we've shared. It is also a time to rest, rejuvenate, and spend quality moments with family and friends.
I wish you all a peaceful Thanksgiving break and look forward to the continued energy and commitment that each of you brings to our school community.
Warm regards,
Tom Messinger
Superintendent, Newton Community School District
