Greetings Cardinals, As the calendar turns into August, we begin the transition from summer break towards our upcoming academic year. I hope you and your families were rejuvenated over the summer with its unique joys and learning experiences; but now it's time for us to transition into the structured rhythm of a new school year. This period often brings mixed emotions – the excitement of learning and reuniting with friends, as well as a hint of apprehension about the upcoming school year; new classes, new teachers, and learning to settle into, once again, the rhythm of being a student. Rest assured, our commitment to providing a nurturing, empowering environment for our students remains strong. We've been diligently preparing for a year of rich learning experiences, designed to inspire curiosity and growth. Our staff has been returning to our district buildings in preparation for the year ahead. It is such a warm sight to see joyful educators diligently preparing their rooms and working on lesson plans. It is a return to school year norms for them as well. To our students, we eagerly await your return to our classrooms, corridors, and playgrounds. We're excited to hear about your summer and to guide you through your academic journey this year. Parents and caregivers, your involvement is invaluable to our student's success. I am looking forward to our continued collaboration. Enjoy what remains of your summer break. We are looking forward to learning with you again soon. Yours truly,
Tom Messinger Newton Community School District Superintendent |
