Dear NCSD Families,
As the end of the school year is in sight, we find ourselves reflecting on incredible accomplishments and looking forward to the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.
Graduation Celebrations
An important occasion is upon us - graduation! WEST Academy graduation will be Thursday, May 16th, and graduation for Newton High School seniors will be on Sunday, May 19th. These ceremonies mark the culmination of years of dedication, hard work, and personal growth. We are incredibly proud of our graduates, and we look forward to witnessing their bright futures unfold.
Re-Enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year
School re-enrollment occurs each year around this time. We encourage all returning families to complete the online re-enrollment process starting Monday, April 15. This ensures a smooth transition for students as they return to school in the fall. Detailed information about re-enrollment is available on the district website under the "Parents & Students" tab. If you are the parent of a first-time Cardinal student, there is also registration information to help you get started. If you have any questions, please contact us at the District Office (641) 792.5809 and we will be happy to help, and to welcome you to our Cardinal community.
Spring Sports and Activities: Celebrating Student Passions
Spring is a vibrant season not only for academic achievements but also for extracurricular activities! Our schools offer a wide range of spring sports and activities, providing students with opportunities to explore their passions, develop teamwork skills, and build lasting friendships. We encourage all parents and community members to support our students in their activities. Whether it's attending a game, volunteering your time, or simply showing up in the audience, your presence makes a difference in their experience.
Summer Break: Relaxation and Exploration
Now, let's talk about summer break! Students and staff alike can take a well-deserved break from the school routine. This time is perfect for relaxation, family time, pursuing personal interests, and perhaps even exploring new learning opportunities. We encourage our students to utilize the summer months to recharge and explore their passions. Whether it's reading a good book, participating in engaging summer camps, or spending time outdoors, make the most of this time to rejuvenate and come back to school feeling refreshed and ready to learn!
We appreciate your continued partnership and support throughout the school year. As we move towards graduation celebrations and summer break, let's celebrate achievements, plan for the future, and then enjoy a well-deserved rest.
GO CARDS!!
Warm regards,
Tom Messinger Superintendent

Robotics, Teamwork, Innovation
It's National Robotics Week, so it's the perfect time to feature the Newbotics, Newton's Robotics Team. Competitions include building and programming robots to complete specific tasks. Check it out - they're a pretty fantastic group!
