Mission Statement

Newton Community Schools is committed to empower staff and students to effectively integrate technology to explore, expand, and enhance learning in a global society in order to support the district mission of doing whatever it takes to insure that all students learn to think, innovate, and succeed.


Goals

The Technology Committee has identified several goals that are required in order to accomplish our mission statement. These are goals that every student and staff member will continuously work towards on a daily basis. 

These goals have been identified as the essential building blocks of successfully preparing our students and staff for life in the 21st century:

  • Develop technology use as a skill set rather than a tool for students and staff members.
  • Promote a positive and engaging Technology environment where students and staff feel comfortable in learning new technologies.
  • Provide technology ready classroom.
  • Provide ongoing training for teachers and staff.
  • Infuse technology into everyday use for students and staff.
